Workshop: Branching systems, reaction-diffusion equations and population models

Date: May 2-16, 2021
Organizers: Julien Berestycki, Pascal Maillard and Sarah Penington

The goal of this workshop will be to discuss recent developments and open questions in fields at the interface of branching systems, reaction-diffusion equations and population models, including: fine asymptotics of front positions for reaction-diffusion equations, genealogies of populations under selection, free-boundary problems and hydrodynamic limits of particle systems, competition and co-operation effects in population models and particle systems with interactions and non-local reaction-diffusion equations.

The workshop will include short courses given by Vincent Calvez, Rick Durrett, Lenya Ryzhik and Jason Schweinsberg.
