A commitment
I am personally committed to opposing the racist and prejudiced actions of the Trump administration. If you are a mathematician who is unwilling or unable to return to the USA as a result of Trump administration policies, I will offer whatever support I am able. In particular, if Montreal is useful as a temporary home, I can try to arrange visitor status for you in my department.
